Pain Doesn’t Disappear in the Dark
We want to put on a brave face and not show others our deepest aches and failures. We convince ourselves that others won’t care or they already have enough to handle, and if we wait long enough our pain will subside. Don’t believe the lie that if you just keep quiet or hide it, it will go away. Pain doesn’t disappear in the dark. It gets a new life and, like a photography darkroom, pain develops into a full-color portrait when we hide it away.
“You are like that illuminating light. Let your light shine everywhere you go, that you may illumine creation, so men and women everywhere may see your good actions, may see creation at its fullest, may see your devotion to Me, and may turn and praise your Father in heaven because of it.” (Matthew 5:16 VOICE)
