Capability Doesn’t Mean Calling
The quickest way to dehydrate your soul is to function based solely on your abilities. Just because you can perform a task – and even do it well – doesn’t mean you should. When you take action without asking God’s guidance first, you run the risk of withering your soul. You may look functional on the outside, but you are dry and brittle on the inside. Capability doesn’t mean calling.
“To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge.” (1 Corinthians 12:8 NLT)
