Wait to be Known
Today, we sit. In the searching, in the testing, we all wait to be known by the One who already knows. He already knows, so I feel like He’s simply waiting for me to know and catch up to Him. He’s patient like that: He slows His pace for me, like a daddy who shortens his stride so his little girl can stay by his side. God is tender and fierce, strong and gentle. He’s the only place I know where opposites really aren’t.
“Let him sit alone and not say anything. The Lord has placed that load on him.” (Lamentations 3:28 NIRV)
