Run Your Own Race
The enemy of your soul rejoices in comparison. He loves when you compare yourself to someone else’s perfect because he knows you will never measure up. He knows the truth even better than you do sometimes: the truth that you were never meant to measure up! If he can get your eyes to flicker off the face of your Savior for even one second, he can steal your joy and get a toehold to invade the fortress of your peace. Keep your eyes on your own race and stop trying to run someone else’s.
“The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11 NLT)
