Your mind writes stories based on what little facts you know. You predict what you think will happen when – truthfully – you have no idea because there’s no concrete evidence to support the worst case scenarios you’re convinced are coming your way. Instead of focusing on “what if,” you must look to “what is.” Go back to the foundations of your faith. Who is God? What does his Word tell you about the world? How has He worked miracles in your life already? How has He changed the life of other believers you know? With God, “what if” disappears in the presence of what is.
“You’re nothing but a wisp of fog, catching a brief bit of sun before disappearing. Instead, make it a habit to say, ‘If the Master wills it and we’re still alive, we’ll do this or that.’” (James 4:15 MSG)
