Shadow
I came to Him as a shadow of myself, with nothing to offer except my heart. It felt like a throwaway afterthought. Who would want my broken pieces? What He taught me is my heart is the most precious possession I could ever own – and it’s the only item He ever wanted anyway. So I stretched my arms up and held my heart out to Him, and continue to do so every single day.
These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. (Colossians 2:17 NIV)
